Day 15: Halfway there.

Little late, but still the 15th! Today's inspiration comes from the Suicide Forest of Japan. Three short poems, surprisingly none are Haiku.

Aokigahara

1: School children count nooses like a game
“One, two, three, four,
your feet will never touch the floor.
Five, six, seven, eight,
thick branches and death awaits”

2: The trail of the broken hearted
walked by those recently parted.
The sea of green luscious trees
hides the shame of the departed.

3: Her shirt still wet with tears
yet her eyes belong to the dead.
A ruined wedding dress
stained with filth and mud.
A bride without a ring,
except for the red one around her neck.
